The McGarity Family has a long and colorful history of supplying office solutions to businesses, organizations and governments. Following his service in World War II and college graduation, Hank McGarity went to work for the Mississippi School Supply Company in 1949. Several years later, he was joined in the field by his brother, John where they both worked as manufacturers’ representatives for the Alma Desk Company and Krueger Metal. By 1979, John decided to leave the life of a traveling salesman behind when he started his own office furniture and supply dealership – North Georgia Business Products – on the historic square in downtown Gainesville, Georgia. His son Scott joined the business in 1982 and the name was soon changed to McGarity’s Business Products. Following John’s retirement in 1996, Scott acquired the business and continues to run the company as an independent, family-owned business.
Still based in Gainesville, Georgia, McGarity’s has outgrown the square and now operates out of a facility with a 15,000 square foot office furniture showroom and a 30,000 square foot warehouse/distribution center. With the provision of outstanding customer service at our core, McGarity’s seeks to build relationships with our customers by anticipating and meeting their needs and going the extra mile whenever necessary. The entire McGarity’s Business Products team strives to consistently deliver a quality product at a competitive price, while always acting with integrity.
